Activists arrive in Cuba with aid amid US fuel blockade

A small fishing boat carrying 32 international activists has arrived in Cuba after a five-day journey from Mexico, delivering 14 tonnes of food and medicine, solar panels and bicycles. The flotilla is a gesture of solidarity with Cubans facing severe shortages after three months without fuel due to a total oil blockade imposed by the Trump administration. Organisers say the aid is "a drop in the ocean" compared to the country's needs, but they want to send a message that Cuba is not alone.
